The Hellenic Foreign Trade Board, in cooperation with the Embassy of Greece in Tokyo organized the first Greek Wine Road Show on 7.2.06 at Osaka and 9.2.06 at Tokyo.

This initiative included presentations of selected varieties of Greek wines by the member of the Japan Sommeliers Mr. N. Ogasawara .  Also, it included wine tasting and a variety of Greek foods were offered to the invitees. 

Both events, in Osaka as well as in Tokyo, recorded a great success as more than 300 distinguished guests attended the Road Shows.  Amongst them, the Ambassador of Greece in Tokyo representatives of Japanese TV and press (NHK, Osaka TV, local newspapers and magazines), businessmen, sommeliers, department store and hotel managers.

All distinguished guests and wine experts expressed their enthusiasm regarding the quality of Greek wines and foods as well as for the excellent organization of the events.  It should be also noted that the success of both Road Shows became a reality due to the instrumental and active cooperation of the Women wine makers of Greece whose attentive care in promoting the wines of their family companies over the past years has contributed to the overall success of traditional greek wines.
